Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 16, 2026
At ClearMD, we are committed to protecting your privacy while maintaining the security and integrity of our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you use our website and AI-powered Markdown conversion services. By using ClearMD, you expressly consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and acknowledge that you have read and understood all terms herein. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms an integral part of our Terms and Conditions, and your use of our services constitutes acceptance of both documents. If you do not agree with any provision of this Privacy Policy, you must immediately discontinue use of all ClearMD services and may not access our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect several categories of information to provide, maintain, improve, and secure our services. The information we collect falls into categories including information you provide directly, information generated through your use of our services, and information collected automatically through technical means.
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account with ClearMD, we collect basic registration information necessary to establish and maintain your account. This includes your full name, email address, chosen password stored in encrypted hashed format, account creation date, and verification status. You may optionally provide additional profile information including your preferred language and communication preferences.
1.2 Payment Information
If you make purchases through our platform, we collect billing and payment information necessary to process your transactions. This includes your payment method details, billing address, transaction history, purchase records, subscription status, and credit balances. However, we do not directly store complete credit card numbers or sensitive payment authentication data on our servers. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, our trusted third-party payment processor, which is PCI-DSS compliant and maintains its own privacy and security standards.
1.3 Content You Submit
When you use our AI services, we temporarily process the Markdown content you submit to generate HTML responses. This input content is transmitted securely to our AI service providers for the sole purpose of generating your requested output. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models or for any purpose beyond processing your immediate request. Your input content is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers beyond the time necessary to fulfill your immediate request.
1.4 Technical Information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our website or use our services. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, device information including device model and operating system, general location data derived from IP address, referring website, pages visited, timestamps of your activities, session duration, and connection information. This information is collected through standard web server logs and cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for several specific purposes, all of which are necessary to provide our services, maintain platform quality, ensure security, and fulfill our legal obligations:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our AI-powered Markdown conversion services
- Authenticate your identity and verify your authorization to access specific features

3. AI Data Processing
When you submit Markdown content to our AI services, that content is immediately transmitted via secure encrypted connection to our AI service providers, processed by the AI model to generate your requested HTML output, returned to our platform and displayed to you, and then permanently deleted from our processing systems. We do not store your inputs in any database, do not use your inputs to train or improve our AI models, do not use your inputs to train or improve third-party AI models, do not share your inputs with other users, and do not analyze your inputs for marketing purposes. We may temporarily cache AI responses for a brief period to improve performance, and these cached responses are automatically and permanently deleted after expiration.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to provide basic service functionality, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve user experience. For users who access our services without logging in, we use temporary session identifiers and daily usage tracking mechanisms. These tracking mechanisms are temporary, reset daily, do not permanently identify individual users across sessions, and are used solely for enforcing usage limits and preventing service abuse. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate our service, including AI providers, payment processors (Stripe), email service providers (Resend), and hosting services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the specified purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure password hashing, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time period, except where we are required to retain it by law. AI input content is not retained beyond the time necessary to fulfill your request.
